The Abarth Goes On Show 2005
Ah, nothing like it..... basking in the sunshine on a fine Scottish day, a large selection of Italian cars and Ice cream.
I managed to make the 2nd St.Andrews Italian Car Day without a hitch even being able to spend time preparing the car with a washing and a polishing the Abarth before setting out. I also managed to print out a few pictures of interest and power graphs – the sort of thing that keeps the punter happy. Sticking them to the windows did the trick, a constant flow of questions and great deal of enthousiam was generated around the Abarth, I was more than happy to get interactive with the crowd.
We were treated to good weather that was mainly sunshine with a couple of summer showers to remind us that this is the northern Scotland. The turnout and standard of cars was very good with a few unusual cars turning up. Most marques were represented from a Fiat 500 to a Ferrari 512TR although we were missing Lamborghini and De Tomaso.
I had great chat all day and found a number of spares part supplies, well that is what these shows are all about is it not?
The above picture showing the Abarth in it's normal pose – surrounded by inquisitive onlookers - told you the power graphs and rebuild photo's keep the punters happy!
